2013 Midwest Regional Tow Show at the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio. Tom is a collector of old tow trucks. He had five historic trucks at the show, three of which I'd seen before, but didn't realize that he owned them all. Apparently he has more at his place. I'm told that he isn't into restoring them, but just leaving them pretty much as he found them, but in drivable condition.
This 1968 Autocar formerly belonged to Bevis (Ohio) Towing Service. It is powered by a Cummins engine running through a 13 speed transmission with a 4 speed auxiliary transmission. It has an 850 Holmes crane, a hydraulic spade, and an 80,000 lb drag winch.
To see more of Tom's collection of historic old trucks, look at my album "Tom's Trucks".
