Clermont County fairgrounds, Owensville, Ohio at the 2011 Pumpkin Run. There is something I just love about this old timer even though I can't really put a finger on what it is. Probably the color mixed with the rust.

Harbor Springs, Michigan. This is one of a fleet of around 40 beautifully restored and maintained trucks that Litzenburger Landscape Company uses daily in their business. Since I couldn't make out the model number on the hood, I asked the owner, Gow LItzenburger what it is. His reply was that it was a B "Mutt" that now has a V8 gas engine, power breaks, power steering, automatic transmission etc. Regardless, it is a beauty and has been featured in a truck magazine.
I took this shot in 2007. When I was in the area in 2012, I stopped by the company and just happened to catch Gow about to go for a jog after closing hours on a Saturday evening. He was extremely gracious and showed me around his fleet. The trucks range from the '30s to the '90s and are all really amazing. He gave me permission to photograph all I wanted to, but they were perfectly lined up in three long sheds which prevented me from getting the best pictures, but it was really a fun experience to see such a fine collection. Thanks to Gow.

Ohio. Driving down a country road, we spotted this cool old truck and stopped to take some pictures. Turns out the owner is a member of the American Truck Historical Society and has a large collection of really great older trucks. This one is for sale.
1/14/2013 I learned today that this truck has been sold. Hopefully the new owner will restore it to it's former glory.

I 71 North bound rest area at mile marker 33 near Lebanon, Ohio. This is the truck that is on the hook in the previous picture. I thought it was cool enough to warrant a shot by itself. I don't really know what an "Approved Bio Fuel Blender" is, but perhaps they messed up the blend and caused this relatively new looking Pete to give it up.
Knox Nelson Oil Company is headquartered in Arkansas which is a really long way from where I shot this and they were headed North away from there. I'd love to know the whole story.

Taken at the Garden St. Iron and Metal scrapyard in the Camp Washington neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Club Blatz (AKA Cincinnati's Misfits With Camera's) held "Junkyard Madness 6" today. The weather was unseasonably hot so after about a couple of hours in the sun, I was looking for a cooler place. I entered one of the buildings on the premises and went down a steep set of stairs to the lower level. Once my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I got a good look at this jewel hiding there all covered with the dust of inactivity. Luckily there was enough available light to get this shot using a long exposure. You just never can tell what you'll find hidden away in some of the most usual places.
As far as I can tell, it is a 1946 2 ton truck. I'd appreciate someone more knowledgeable letting me know what they think.
