Tuileries in Paris, France. Public transportation in Paris is very good. Therefore, many travelers opt to take trains near their destination and then walk the rest of the way pulling their baggage. It is a common scene. This couple looked like they had been walking for a while and had paused to rest before going on. Noticing the way they were looking around, I had to wonder if they were unsure which way to go.

Guarding the Place Beauvau on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honre' across from Le Palais de L'Elysee in Paris France. How to be popular as the American tourist. I'm not sure what came over me, but when I saw this attractive on duty police woman, I had to try to get a shot of her. Using hand gestures (I don't speak French), I asked if I could take her picture. Rather than arrest me, she agreed.

Paris, France.

This tourist boat is passing through a lock and about to enter the underground segment of the canal as it flows toward the Seine. It is a unique trip that is well worth taking if you have a chance. It is rather spooky to think that business as usual is taking place above you as you proceed in the darkness below. Along with the subways and sewers of Paris, this is part of underground Paris.

From Wikipedia:

The Canal Saint-Martin is a 4.6 km long canal in Paris, connecting the Canal de l'Ourcq to the river Seine. Over nearly half its length, between the Rue du Faubourg du Temple and the Place de la Bastille, was covered in the mid-19th century to create wide boulevards and public spaces on the surface.

Paris, France. Apparently there are several Flam's restaurants in Paris. I think this one is near Avenue Franklin Roosevelt, but I'm not sure.

The shot gives you an idea of how popular motor scooters are in Paris.
