Right Bank of Paris, France. It was a beautiful late Summer day in Paris. I was doing the typical tourist thing (taking the boat ride on the Seine) around noon when I spotted this scene. The boat was traveling fast enough that I only got this one good shot. My P&S reloads so slowly that by the time I took a second shot, we were past the optimal point. Sometimes you have to be lucky.
I hadn't taken the boat trip on my previous visit, but am glad I did this time. The different POV that being on the water provides is well worth the trip. I've heard the evening or even the night ride is even better.

Petoskey, Michigan. My friend had seen some trucks during a grocery run and wanted to show them to me, but wasn't entirely clear where they had been. We drove out in the rain looking for them when I saw this scene and asked her to pull over so I could get the shot. It was raining so hard, that I took it with the car window rolled down. Although it didn't take long to get the shot, by the time I did, my pant leg was soaked as was the inside of the car door. I need to find a good way to protect my camera when shooting in the rain as rainy days certainly add to most shots.

SE Indiana. A 1930 Model A Ford Coupe following a really beautiful and somewhat rare 1935 Dodge convertible going home to Ohio. I hope they didn't nick up their beautiful paint jobs on the gravel road. If I owned either of these cherry bombs, I'd keep off gravel roads for sure.

SW Ohio. The Snakedoctor and I found this old beast along with several other decaying old trucks. I don't know my trucks very well, but this looks like a fairly serious one to me. It sure is devoid of little chrome niceties. I love the squared off fenders and the large bumper with a radiator guard on it. Thanks to MrSkodaMustang and Warren S52 for helping me with the model and approximate year.
From farmall nut: "I was at a sale in Lousiville about 25 or so years ago and saw this truck and a mate sell for $4,500 ea. Both were in good running condition at the time. They have super 250 cummins in them. The other is still at the pit that this gentleman and his son owns down the road. I believe they had 5X4 transmissions and 55,000 or 60,000 lb rears. They also have a triple frame. They were heavy duty brutes for their day (even for today). Sadly the cab on this one is rusting out badly. I didn't get a chance to go see the other one but I'm pretty sure the owner said they still use the other one from time to time. (that was about 3 years ago)" Thanks to him for the details.
