Louis Vuitton Store on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, France. Marc Jacobs of Louis Vuitton collaborated with noted Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama to develop a collection based on her art for the house of Vuitton. This is one of the window displays showing a lifelike mannequin of Kusama wearing some of the collection in which polka dots are featured.
(From Wikipedia) Yayoi Kusama (草間 彌生 or 弥生 Kusama Yayoi?, born March 22, 1929) is a Japanese artist and writer. Throughout her career she has worked in a wide variety of media, including painting, collage, sculpture, performance art and environmental installations, most of which exhibit her thematic interest in psychedelic colors, repetition and pattern. A precursor of the pop art, minimalist and feminist art movements, Kusama influenced contemporaries such as Andy Warhol and Claes Oldenburg. Although largely forgotten after departing the New York art scene in the early 1970s, Kusama is now acknowledged as one of the most important living artists to come out of Japan, and an important voice of the avant-garde.

Louis Vuitton window display at the Galeries Lafayette in Paris, France. Vuitton has a presence in this amazingly high end Paris department store. When I was there they were featuring a collection based on the art of Yayoi Kusama. This particular mannequin is wearing examples of much of the collection.
It can be difficult to get a good shot through a window without capturing reflections. Sometimes the reflections add to the shot while at other times they hurt it.

Louis Vuitton display in the Galeries Lafayette in Paris, France. This line was inspired in collaboration with the Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama. The area dedicated to displaying this collection was quite extensive.
The Galeries Lafayette is probably the most exclusive department store in Paris. I wasn't sure how they'd take to my photographing the display, so I asked and was told there was no problem. In Cincinnati, I was once confronted by Mall Security while shooting patterns in the mall skylight. I was told that the mall including their parking lot was private property and that no photographs were permitted. With the proliferation of smart phones, my bet is that photographs are being taken all the time. I was just too obvious. 9/11 has changed things forever.
