Taken at America's Packard Museum in Dayton, Ohio, a place where any fan of Packards or classic old cars should visit. The lighting was not good for pictures the day I was there and I really wasn't prepared for the problems nor was I on my game. I have to return and see if I can do much better.

Taken at America's Packard Museum in Dayton, Ohio. I knew that Packard made motors for PT boats and airplanes during the war, but didn't know until recently that they made trucks. The American Packard Museum has a great collection of vehicles, motors and reference material all housed in a building that was formerly a Packard dealership. If you like classic vehicles, it is very much worth a visit.

Ault Park Concours d'Elegance held in Ault Park in the Mount Lookout neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. This 12 cylinder beauty was one of 6 believed to have been built in 1936 which was the last year for the Sport Phaeton, the last year for mechanical brakes and also the solid front axle. It was purchased new by the McCormick family, owners of the Chicago Tribune and is currently owned by Gene and Sally Perkins. It is Dietrich badged body #1 by coach builder Murray.

Bay View, Michigan. My lady came into the cottage and told me that some man just came by in a 1956 Packard. He stopped briefly when he noticed her looking at it and told her a little about it. Unfortunately she didn't come inside and get me so I could get a few shots of it. I figured he must live close by, so we got into the car and started out to look around the maze which is Bay View. Fortunately, we found the car right away. Proud owner, Luke told me that it was delivered to him that day from Florida. He had purchased it sight unseen and was checking it out. He seemed to be pleased as it arrived as advertised. He and his brother are apparently quite capable of fixing anything on it that might need work, but it looked and sounded great to me. Luke plans to use it as a driver rather than a show car. How fun would that be to own such a cool car.
