Taken at the ATHS' Ohio Vintage Truck Jamboree held a the Ashland County Fairgrounds in Ashland, Ohio.

Out of all the great trucks at the show, this one immediately caught my eye due to it's size, paint job, the fact that it is an Oshkosh, a brand you don't see a ton of, and I happen to love big wreckers and this one is huge. The cab design on this one is typical of the brand. Oshkosh builds specialty and military trucks. This one weighs 99,000 pounds and was used in Desert Storm.

I wanted to take a good picture of this beast, but there was a large sign sitting in front of the grill and a golf cart with a man sitting in it in front of the truck. I asked the man in the cart if the owner was around to which he answered "Yes". Some men were cleaning the side of the truck so I asked one if he was the owner. He answered that the owner was the gentleman sitting in the cart. I guess Ken had been playing with me, but i want back and asked him if I could move the sign and if he'd move the cart. I then thought it might be nice to get a shot of him in front of his truck to which he agreed. He seemed interested in possibly getting a copy of any photo I took of him or his truck so I gave him my card.

Near the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. Riding along with Bkroadphoto, I spotted this fairly unusual truck. Knowing that I was going to see some of the local members of the American Truck Historical Society in a few days, I took some shots to show them in case anyone might be interested in buying it. The guys I spoke to said money was the big issue.

I've seen several Oshkosh cement trucks, but don't remember ever seeing a flatbed like this one.

From Wikipedia: "Oshkosh Corporation, formerly Oshkosh Truck, is an American industrial company that designs and builds specialty trucks and truck bodies and access equipment. Based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the company employs 12,300 people around the world. It is organized in four primary business groups: access equipment, defense, fire and emergency, and commercial.

Founded in 1917 as the Wisconsin Duplex Auto Company, the company was created to build a severe-duty four-wheel-drive truck. After the first prototype was built, the company began to develop rapidly. This first four-wheel-drive truck, known today as "Old Betsy", is still owned by Oshkosh Corporation and housed in one of its assembly plants in Oshkosh. The vehicle still runs and is used frequently in demonstrations and parades.

Taken at the Midwest Regional Tow Show sponsored by the Towing and Recovery Association of Ohio at the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio.

I don't know what a concrete truck is doing at a tow truck show, but I'm always looking for colorful ones and this one certainly meets that bill. I have to wonder if my friend, Tom might have brought it to the show as it was parked close to his tow truck and he collects all kinds of old trucks. Then again, he is not known for selling anything yet this one is for sale. Go figure. Note that two axles do not have any wheels mounted on them.
