Waves deposited these rocks in depressions in the bedrock, and additional wave action both carves the depressions deeper and continues to wear and round the stones.

Mancala is a class of African games played with beans, shells or stones moved across a playing field made from depressions scooped into the ground or a wooden board with bowl-like depressions.
