Want an advanture: Take a minivan up to the Racetrack! It was grading the center berm of the road lower for much of the way.

I don't actually recommend trying this... the last time I went to the Racetrack, three of the four vehicles without AT (All Terrain) tires got flats, including mine. Four Jeeps did not, but they all clearly had tires with extra belts and rubber, rated "All Terrain".

On the unpaved roads in Death Valley, always carry a tire repair kit, Fix-a Flat, and I carry a tire inflation pump that plugs into my lighter plug as well. I often need all of them to self-rescue.

Update: the tire inflation pumps that plug into lighter/accessory plugs are for car tires. The one we used successfully for 10 years fried, we fried a couple of replacements, even carrying two at once was not a successful strategy for SUV tires. The ones that can handle the duty cycle of inflating larger tires clip onto the battery, so they're not limited by a 15-amp fuse (also carry a selection of spare fuses). Various models have different inflation speeds and requirements for operating and cooling.
