Captured during one of our night photography workshops in Bodie in 2022. We have room in June and July 2023. I shot two rows of vertical image before stitching the panorama together in post-processing. I wanted ample space above and below the Milky Way to be able to produce a fatter crop and print shape than the usual panorama.

This crop is a little tight on the ends of the Milky Way because it's a 4 x 3 aspect ratio, in order to enter it into the annual Bodie Foundation calendar contest.
