I thought that it would be too stormy and cloudy to shoot the Jupiter - Saturn conjunction with the moon last night, but I saw the moon as I stepped outside to take the trash can up the driveway. I ran around gathering my camera gear. By the time I was set up, Jupiter had set behind this ridge, and I could only see one of its moons.
I moved my camera and tripod in the car, and drove across the neighborhood to lower the ridge, and I was able to capture both planets (below and right of the clouds) with the moon before they set.
The earth shine on the shaded portion of the moon, moonshine on the lake, and the iridescent clouds, were a nice bonus!

The rise in Mono Lake this year has inundated some vegetation that moved down to the lower shoreline over recent years. After windy days, salt crusts the vegetation as well as rock formations near the water level.
These bushes look like wild peach, a seriously thorny and tenacious plant. Rip one out of your yard, and each of the roots becomes its own bush.
