I admire photos of photographers that can shoot the sky and moon. There is a mastery there of the medium that I respect and that is frankly beyond me.

What I love about photography is that it's a microcosm of human diversity and interest. Over time it shows us what we are all about and it shows others that too. I also love that it teaches us to see the world in frames. It slows us down, that way. It teaches us patience. It teaches us humility. It finds joy.

It's a little bit like fatherhood.
