The first bird shot on my Florida trip.

Had a great weeks trip to Florida. Saw some great wildlife including, 'Hawkeye' Bert, Bill, Jay, Ken, Bob, Kevan & Linda, Jake & Mary amongst others :0) (The Human wildlife were too hard to shoot - far too much mandible motion to get good action freeze) :0) Sorry we missed you Kris :0(

Thanks a million to Hank & Linda for being wonderful hosts, showing me the 'spots' ferrying me about from before dawn until after dusk and keeping me watered and fed.

Thanks Bob for the shirts, I certainly needed them when Florida did not want to let me go home (Not too many birds to shoot around Miami Airport :0(

Not a particularly remarkable shot. The subject is fairly common, the pose is fairly good and the background not very inspiring. The remarkable thing is that the shot is flash filled yet I was not using a flash.

The flash fill came from Hank's camera causing the image to be 'blown' but after adjusting the exposure compensation to minus 1 & 2/3 - not a bad result.
