Since some of my rain photos tend to be on the darker side, I wanted to experiment with a technique that would make them stand out more. I applied a subtle cartoon effect to this image, which helps restore some of the textures that might otherwise be lost. I’m getting to the stage where I enjoy the processing side a little bit more than actually taking the picture. I know when I’m out and about taking photos, I’m already in my head thinking, how can I make this picture better? An example would definitely be my Sydney Opera House photos, because who in the world has not seen the Opera house? But I wanted people to see it differently, rather with the normal blue sky and sunshine. I think I achieved that…..
Thanks to everyone for your kind continued support and encouragement.
“The cartoon effect in Photoshop is a digital editing method that transforms a standard photo into an illustration or comic-style image. This technique enhances edges, simplifies colour gradients, and applies filters to create a hand-drawn or cel-shaded look.”
