One of the most interesting things to find at the Boston Common is the Brewer Fountain situated just off Tremont Street, near the Park Street T Station.

This is a bronze replica fountain of the award winning French original at the 1855 Paris World's Fair that was financed and installed by Boston merchant Gardner Brewer.

The fountain is quite elegant, adorned with mythological gods Neptune, Amphitrite, Acis and the nymph Galatea with a series of water spouts filling the basin which surrounds the fountain structure.
