This is another shot from last Monday. It was taken at Bee Rock. I was inspired to take some fall color reflection shots after reading an article in Outdoor Photographer (October Issue) on shooting fall colors. I never really thought much about getting the reflections till that article.

Right before this I was taking some silky smooth water shots and I actually remembered to remove my Poloarizer before I took this shot, but not till I was looking through the lens and was wondering what happened to the reflections I was seeing with my eyes.

I went this past weekend to catch the moonbow but no luck, it was too foggy but this is a shot of the falls that I got.

Update: I went to the photo contest last night and it was a good night all around. My Mom had entered 2 shots and she got 1st Place in Architecture (color) and Honorable Mention in the heavily contested Nature/Science.

My good friend and contact The Bald Avenger got 1st in enhanced photos with a crazy shot of his daughter that he tattooed up and pierced.

My contact and acquaintance out side of flickr Sweet tbranscum got 1st in Sports/Action and 2nd in Nature/Science

I got 2nd place in B&W Architecture and 1st in the People

This shot was taken on top of the location in yesterdays post (Veteran's Memorial Plaza). I had my polarizer which helped make the clouds jump out a bit.

This taken during my last outing with good friend Dennis aka The_Bald_Avenger. It's downtown Stanford, KY which has done a lot of restoring in the past few years and is a great looking Main St for small town USA. I had Dennis watch my back while taking this shot (10sec exposure). I had the 50mm on as I was taking some shots of the new ride downtown, which the lights played havoc with my shots but that's just another subject entirely.

I went for the large dof here and if you check out (and you should) the post today by Dennis you'll see he went with a shallow DOF look and pointed his camera towards the other end of the street which give both shots such a different look; which I found really interesting.
