Breakfast Time in the Hotel Portmeirion Restaurant before the crowds arrive. Splendid views are offered across the Dywryd Estuary.

Hotel Portmeirion was originally a house Aber Ia which was acquired by Clough Williams-Ellis and converted into a hotel with various additions including this art-deco inspired extension which accommodates part of the restaurant.

The grounds of Aber Ia were developed into the resort village of Portmeirion. In 1981 the hotel was virtually destroyed by fire taking 6 years to rebuild to mainly the original design.
