This is a restaurant in the French Quarter of New Orleans. I happened upon it accidentally as I was making my way through the area. I liked how tidy and inviting it appeared - almost like a place in Italy. Too bad I didn't have time to try the food.

Well, that title is a little tongue-in-cheek but it was all I could think of. This is under the Loop 360 "Pennybacker" bridge in West Austin. It was approaching sunset (left side is West - you can see how the sky has some purple in it) and there were loads of boats coming in - the dock is off to the left too (out of frame). After they cleared, the clicking began.

The sunset was just amazing that day in the French Quarter of New Orleans. I was a click-happy dude just trying to keep up with all the visual stimulation that I encountered...

When I came upon this tree, something about it caught my eye. It looked like it had survived the ravages of Katrina (barely), but not for long. It appeared to be headed for the grave, which was fitting since I was in a graveyard.

Ok, so technically this isn't my bridge, but having driven over it for 20 years I have sort of adopted it. Austin has grown so much. I remember "the old days" when this bridge was so far from town, and now town is so much closer...progress I guess.

This was another beautiful night on the lake. I had to wait for the boats to clear, and that sort of thing, but I really enjoy the whole photography process anyways and of course waiting is a part of that.
