Today I saw several thousand geese, including Canada, Snow, Cackling, and Greater White-fronted Geese. The wind was blowing so there is some irritating sound. IMG_9892

Short video of Sandhill Crane activity along Snively Road, Weste Richland, Washington. Unfortunately, the wind was blowing causing noise and drowning out some of their sounds. I love the listen to them. IMG_4877

Short video of American Coots and other waterfowl diving for food at Getty's Cove, Kittitas County, Washington on a dark day. This video was shot with my Canon R7 camera at 400mm hand held so it is a little shaky. IMG_2637

There were probably 5,000 to 10,000 Geese at McNary National Wildlife Refuge, Headquarters Unit, Burbank, Washington today. They were sitting on the water when a Bald Eagle flew over and they panicked. After flying for a few minutes, they settled down in the water again. This is typical Snow Goose behavior. They are likely heading for California although many don't migrate further south. These birds likely migrated from Wrangle Island, Russia. IMG_1158
