The further along you travel through the diffrent snow sheds, you will find older and older construction and styles of snow shed. This shed, more resembles the shape of the original wood snow sheds.

US highway 50 across northern Nevada has been labeled "The Loneliest Road in America". It is also the historic Lincoln Highway. The bicyclist coming up the road is just completing a 100+ mile ride from Fallon. She is part of a group that was riding across Nevada on US 50.

The stretch in Nevada is known as "The Loneliest Road in America" after a July 1986 Life magazine article. Many points of interest are on or very near US 50.
