"The Tower"

The tower with the flame on top was built by Taz Anderson to commemorate the 1996 Olympics, although it was not officially sanctioned by the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games. It's sometimes called the Centennial Tower or the Olympic Tower. In 1997 a plan to change it to a giant Coke bottle fell through.
