After finding a suitable safe shelter in the cavity of a rock, snowtrooper special forces unit SSF3298 set out to explore more of the strange exposed surface.
The Great Hoth Heat Wave has awoken another new species. SSF3298 have discovered ginormous footprints. After measuring the displacement of soils and depth of the print, they were able to calculate the weight of this new, never before seen beast at approximately 58,967 grams. Scales of magnitude larger than the Wampa, it could quite possibly be the largest creature the empire has encountered, if you don’t include the Exogorth (space slug).
But where is it...!? 🤔♂️

While venturing in search for more tracks, SSF3298 discovered a white mountain in the distance that looked completely covered in snow. They wrongly assumed it to be a glacier resistant to the current Hoth Heat Wave. After a few days of travel they reached a wall of white stone jutting out of the deep mauve-brown mud. They had been looking forward to the coolness of the snow and had even planned on unpacking their shovels, ice picks, and sleds... Oh well - this newfound geographic anomaly would be the perfect place to set up camp in camouflage.
