I am very proud of this picture and I was very moved to come across a magnificent and beautiful swan family by the Itchen in Winchester. There was considerable human and canine traffic on the footpath and the parents stood proud and alert but did not seem especially perturbed by cameras. This was the absolute highlight of the walk for me.

It is only a Wood Pigeon but birds are quite difficult to photograph in the wild, so I was pleased with this result. This bird is by the Itchen in Winchester and possibly thinking 'I wish I could swim' or 'I hope there are no pike in this water'.
