Persistence, hard work, getting into positions I can hardly get out of, editing to the limit of my very limited abilities and having the good fortune to own a beautiful X20. That's how I sometimes get the result I want.
This is from my return visit to Whiteley Shopping Centre on a nearly people free early Sunday morning. The bronze rabbit/hares are by Lucy Casson.

This is the squirrel on top of the fingerpost at Whiteley Shopping Centre. The Southerner quite rightly commented that it looks a bit like a mouse. I chose different angles to decide for myself and to allow you to do so also. I imagine this is a Lucy Casson figure as are the other animals around the Centre and I feel Ms. Casson intentionally leaves a little ambiguity in her work. The figures we comfortably describe as rabbits, have the ears of hares but the works she has created are intended to reflect the wildlife of the area and I think one is more likely to see a rabbit than a hare.

This is my final post of today from Whiteley. As with some of the other images, I was very taken by the defined shadow and its potential role in the composition. Too often, heavy shadows can be detrimental to a photograph. In this picture the shadow becomes a part of the whole without disrupting the main subject, one of two examples of the Vagabond game on display at Whiteley Shopping Centre. The game is supplied by HAGS.

This is an example of something I did not want - not what was planned at all, as the more distant animal was also meant to be in focus - but I have decided to use it on its own merits and return later to Whiteley Shopping Centre to take photographs as I intended them. This picture, taken with the two foxes featured earlier in my photostream, imagines an encounter between rivals, perhaps friendly, perhaps not. The outcome, companionship or territorial dispute.

On my first visit to the redeveloped Whiteley Shopping Centre, I concentrated on the details shown elsewhere in my photostream and intend to return at a quieter time for the architectural and retail views. This is my only such shot on this occasion. For a much better impression of the Centre in well taken photographs, see pictures on Flickr by The Southerner.
