(Burning Manila)
And Manila still burns--
Manila, P.I. ........This U/S. Navy photo made during the second week of this month, showing the former Queen City of the Orient still ablaze as a result of the fires set by the licked Japanese. In the foreground the wrecked Quezon Bridge sprawls across the Pasig River. Everywhere are bomb-smattered buildings.

Photo taken by Evaristo Nievera on February 5, 1945 (This may be in error as it is also arbitrated to a US Army photographer)
The war damage in this photo was caused by the Japanese setting fires and demolition charges as the American approached.
