A friend of mine, Charles Needle and I had fun the other day taking xray images of flowers and other various objects. I came away with a renewed sense of the beauty of nature if we only have eyes to see.
This image was taken with a digital mammogram machine. The flowers were placed on the "bucky" and a low kev xray was performed. The xray machine outputs images in Dicom format which can be read by the Extended version of Photoshop CS and Photoshop CC. The normal black background image was then inverted and colorized in Photoshop.

Trying to reduce the "clinical" feel of flower radiographs, here an "earthy" texture is applied to one of the xray images Charles Needle and I did the other day.

I am grateful for the joy that comes from perceiving and appreciating the beauty of nature, seen in so many things, that surround us.
This is another textured and colored radiograph of a flower taken on a mammogram machine.
