One of the special athletes posed for a photo outside the field house before the event. The statue is of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball. The original copy of the rules of basketball are on display at the University. I was honored that Special Olympics Kansas asked me to take photos at this annual event at the University Of Kansas with the #3 nationally ranked Jayhawks basketball team working with about 100 Special Olympians from Kansas. Truly amazing watching these special needs athletes enjoying an afternoon with the Kansas players. A truly moving experience. These are the athletes and family that the Polar Plunges, etc. raise money to help. Sorry for such a large number of photos, just saving them to an album created for this wonderful event.
