Young colt gave me a peek over his mom's hind quarters after nursing for a short time. I saw it nursing while I was stopped on the near by road, then waited, hoping he would raise his head for a photo. Was happy when he cooperated.

Haven't been out to take photos much lately due to hip and back issues but stopped when near a barn and pasture where I have taken some horse photos before. The horses came to the fence line to say hello so I took a couple of photos from my car. Could quite get this one in, a bit too close with my 400mm. A gray day and backlit. Not very steady right now so not the best quality, tonemapped for fun....I'm bored. Felt good to hear that shutter click again. :)

Just horsin' around with some Out of Bounds processing. :-) A little different take on this one for fun. Not very good at this and only have the basic program, but fun to play with on occasion when bored. :) Happened to be in the area where a few horses are kept that I enjoy stopping to see. Just took all of these while sitting in my car when they came near the fence. This guy was very bossy and nipped at the other horses at times to let them know who was boss.

Miniature horse and llama on a ranch where they both are raised. Only the llama is in focus due to telephoto used. Had a hard time getting them both to look at the camera while I stood on the other side of a fence about 30 yards away. Wish the light had been better, but they were facing north, the only direction from which photos can be taken. Fun to watch them together. Not sure if the horse thinks it's a llama or the llama thinks it's a horse. :-)
