Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, are light phenomena in the upper atmosphere caused by interactions between solar particles and Earth's magnetic field. The dominant color is green. The Southern Hemisphere equivalent is the Southern Lights (Aurora Australis). In early May 2024, the Sun experienced large coronal mass ejections. This solar matter traveled through space, reached Earth, and produced well-developed auroras.
