This unnamed geyser is located 28 meters north-northeast of Sponge Geyser in the Geyser Hill Group of Yellowstone's Upper Geyser Basin. The feature first appeared in late May 2023 and had thirty-six reported eruptions through June 2023. Geyserite debris was tossed into the air during eruptions and littered the ground around the vent.
This feature has been given the catalog designation "UNNG-GHG-17a". Such alphabet soup catalog designations are awful - it has been nicknamed "Oatmeal Geyser" and "Tantrum Geyser".
