This postage stamp was issued on 19 June 2004 by North Korea (= Scott Catalogue # 4376). Many countries issue large numbers of different stamps intended to be purchased by collectors and not used on mail. Trucial States famously did this in the 1960s and 1970s, but other countries have since adopted the practice, including America. North Korea produces many stamps that are solely intended to be acquired by tourists and collectors. Because of this, they are not really postage stamps. However, some have attractive designs and colors.
This 3 won postage stamp marks the 40th anniversary of the "Workers' Party" in North Korea by Kim Jong Il.
