In the village of Tangyue in Anhui Province there are seven stone memorial archways (paifang)..
These archways were built by the Bao family and they both memorials for specific family members as well as commemorates various virtues including filial piety, loyalty, chastity, righteousness and charity. The oldest date to 1420 during the Ming dynasty, while the newest is from 1820 during the Qing dynasty.
