From the terrace around and above the Great Bath there is a good view of Bath Abbey. On the terrace are Victorian era statues of Roman Emperors and governors of Britain.
The first Roman contruction at Bath dates back to nearly 2000 years ago and is believed to be a Roman temple here. This later evolved into Roman public baths. They were in use until the 5th Century.
