In this image captured as my aircraft approached Changi airport can be seen some of the things and places that makes Singapore's economy hum.

In the foreground are some of the ships that makes this the world's busiest cargo port. The banking and financial services are mainly in the skyscrapers towards the left. While around Marina Bay is associated with entertainment and the arts. You will find the Sands Casino, gardens and museums here.

View from my window seat before landing at Changi Airport.

Marina Bay Sands is left of centre, while the Singapore Flyer observation wheel is right of centre.

I captured this shortly before landing at Changi Airport on a Singapore Airlines flight.

I have seldom had a good view of the Central Business District (CBD, on the left), and the Marina Bay Sands resort and casino (just right of centre) when landing at Changi.

View during and shortly after takeoff at Changi Airport, Singapore.

The 'Jewel" is the glass "donut-like" building taht can be seen around the 17 second mark. Shortly after, we are over the Johore Strait and near the Singapore/Malaysia border.
