I reposted this cropped version of this pic that I posted way back in May of 2009 to use as my "cover" pic rather than the default image (yuk!) provided by flickr.
I'm not sure what went on in the minds of the flickr team that made them come up with the new scheme- I certainly am not at all happy with it! It's not going to make me give up on flickr though. I do miss seeing right up front much of the information about the images and the photo stream that's now either hidden or not readily available (if its available at all).
That part is what gets me the most upset. I would also much rather have the option to have my photo stream viewable using the old look. I do hope the flickr team makes that option available after all the complaints are cataloged and reviewed for merit. I especially want to be able to see on each image what its view count is without having to click through and view the image itself.
Oh well, they went an messed up a pretty good thing. There's no help for it but to let them know, one way or another, how badly they've miscalculated, is there?
