I have been so bored without the internet. Its pathetic.

1. I deleted over 1000 songs on my itunes.

2. I wrote seven letters I have been meaning to for months and sent them out today

3. I got my first roll of film developed.

4. I rode a bike for the first time in years.

5. I finally figured out the perfect combination for my starbucks coffee

6. I ate over 21 rolls of Mentos in two days. Im not kidding. Im about to run out and get more.

7. I rediscovered my love for Harris Teeter.
They got rid of all of them in GA and here in NC they are all over the place.

8. I read two very long magazines devoted to Michael Jackson's life. My mother is in love with him and I had nothing else to do. Members of my family will appreciate that. Just take my word for it, that meant I was literally dying of nothing to do.

9. I got to know the cashier at ACE hardware while going there to purchase a dryer aghast pipe.
Apparently her husband lost his son for over 27 years because his first wife ran off with him as a baby. The husband found him though, he was in FL, and they are now reunited and the husband of the cashier was able to attend his long lost sons wedding last month.

I was mailed this scarf from a lovely lady who owns a beautiful shop and i would love for you to look into buying one.
Simply because, I adore it.

Hailey handmakes all her products and wraps them with genuine care.
After I emailed her raving about her products, she responded almost immediately and instead of making me feel like she was too busy for little children like me, she made me feel as though I was talking to a person and not a producer.

It was as I was searching online for warmer clothing as I get ready to leave for college in PA when I stumbled upon her blog, saw her work, and knew that I needed one of these.
The warmer is perfect.

The stitching is beautiful, the material is comfortable and as I was shooting these, I would have to take it off my head frequently because of how warm it is.
Also, I can wear this so many different ways and I love the true navy color as well.

Please, take a moment to look at her shop.
I promise you, you will be making a wise investment.

I made a fountain of youth today.
And then I drowned.

(Conrad, this song goes out to you)

Please view this here too, for my sake.

(do I need to tell you there is 18 photos in the comments)

Today is the end of a "journey" with photography that I will be eternally grateful for.

And I am sure yall are expecting some weeping novel written under this photograph.
I will try to be short.
(ha, I just finished writing it and its a beast....my apologies)

Over this past year, more specifically this past month, I fell deeply and madly in love with photography.
And I learned with whatever I end up doing later in life, I need this art to be a part of it.

When I started this I remember saying "when I finish this I will know where I am going to college and will be getting ready to leave" I remember getting so freaked out by that.

I believe I grew.
And I believe I learned how to show who I am through my photos.
Before I ever started the project I always told myself that with my photos I want to simply make you feel me through them.
I believe I have.
Or I hope, maybe in vain, that I have.

I met so many people through this site.
I thank God for them. I really do.

I learned a lot about myself and am thankful I took photos daily so that I can go back and learn them all over again.

I believe I am finally getting out of the pit of pain that I have been stuck in for so long.
After reading many flickrmails, I know a lot of you viewers saw that I was hurting.
And I am here to tell you that its ending.
I know this.

This project ended at the perfect time, right before I go off to college to start everything new.

With that said, I am the 365 day project poster child.
And I want every single person to do it.
I am so thankful I stuck with it, I really am.
My God, I learned so much and grew even more.
Both in the art and personally.

Please, if you are not doing it already, give this project a try.
You will be thankful when you finish.

I am not leaving either.
Doing this project for over 365 days developed a dang stubborn habit.
I cant just stop taking photos of myself.
Sorry.
So I will still be posting on here. Of course.
Well here and my blog.
kaliegarrett.tumblr.com/

I was tempted to do a Year 2 but I think for now I am just going to take a break for a little, get ready to leave for school on the 25 of August and get my life set.
But you can bet I am not going anywhere. At all.

I am sure you all will get sick of me posting after this quite frankly.

So yes.
I need to end this, I doubt half of you read it.
More for my sake I guess.
I want to say a lot more but I wont.

But here is a thanks.
Thank you, for the very very few, that followed me from day one.
Thank you for all your letters (that I am still trying to respond to, I am just awful at responses)
Thank you for the new friends I've met.
Thank you for helping me. Both with my life and with photography.
GAH I wish I could give every single one of you a hug.

I hate ending this project.
It feels like I am losing a friend.
Ha.
I am a freak. Yes.

K, well until the next time I post (which will be sooner than you want)

This is Kalie,
ending my 365 project.

Fun fact:
1. This photo was taken at the same place as Day One was taken.

2. If you are looking through my 365 day set, some are missing, thats because one awful day last year, I was going through it, deciding which to use for my art show, and didnt realize I was deleting them.

3. This project technically ended on July 10th.

:)
