Last week, I felt like it was time to treat myself to something new...so I bought myself a classical guitar!
In my classes, we had been talking about the concept of self-care, to avoid burnout and provide relaxation. My family is going to Cuba next week and I'm staying at their house to dog-sit...so I couldn't travel...so I bought a guitar instead! It had been 6 years since I bought a new guitar, so I figured it was time.
And now that I have a guitar, I can start saving for my eventual trip to NYC...while I simultaneously save to pay off my student loans :P
Anyway, I've been on my break for a week now, and while I've been bored a lot, I have been doing some stuff. I went to a party a week ago; bought some schoolbooks; bought a guitar; hung out with Amanda twice, went planespotting with my mom and another time with my sister, and today I saw Jason Becker: Not Dead Yet with my friend Alicia, who is back in town. And I've got a few more things planned for next week, so hopefully I'll get my brain fully recharged before I go back to school!
Oh, and I got my marks back, and did really well...so I'm happy about that :)
