I have to figure out how to do artificial HDR shots without making the whole scene dark like this. I like this picture, but the background is too dark for my liking. If only there was a way to isolate the car and edit it separately...

Anyway, had a pretty good day at work...now I'm off to jam. Bought some new drumsticks, so hopefully these ones won't break prematurely like so many other sticks I've bought recently :P

This is a picture that my mom took with her camera in April 2009 when I brought home my first car from the dealer. I only obtained a copy of this picture a few months ago, so I decided to post it here...and give it some retro processing to make it look like how I pictured a "first car picture" would look!

Turns out the early fall of 2010 was not a great time for photography for me! I took lots of pictures, but not many of them turned out that well. Fortunatlely, this one is kind of cool, and also, my pictures from around November onwards are generally more impressive...so once we get past this chronological slump, you should start seeing better pictures in my photostream! I still have my pictures from Indianapolis and Chicago to show you, plus my various train-related adventures from the winter, and a bunch of Christmas shots...and so on!

Today was nice and cool at work. Went out to a pub afterwards with some coworkers, and I'm about to head to bed. Going to the driving range with my brother tomorrow after work, which should be fun. I haven't hit up a driving range in years, and it's about time, because I'm pretty sure I have a golf game on Saturday!

After several long days of looking for cars, figuring out insurance, calculating costs, calling all sorts of people, and saying goodbye to my hard-earned cash...not to mention my search and backing-down last year due to insurance quotes that scared me off...I finally have my own car! Here it is!

For those of you who grow weary of reading about car this and car that, I'll resume posting pics in chronological order in the next few days :).

Hey guys! Welcome to my version of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

What you see here in the middle of the picture are called "buttons". They're made of "plastic". When you push them with your fingertip, they do this thing called "exactly what you want them to do".

To the left and right of the buttons, you see "knobs". They also do exactly what you want them to do.

Newer cars have these things called "screens" which are linked to "computers" in the cars. While this idea makes cars look more interesting, they don't quite have the functionality of the older, simpler, foolproof method of "pushing a button" or "turning a knob".

I'm not opposed to technology. But when it comes to cars, some things work, and some things don't.

This has been the February 8th, 2011 edition of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
