Replacing an earlier scanned print with a better version 04-Apr-19.

MarkAir was originally an Alaska based US Airline which operated services for Alaska Airlines. In the early 1990's the partnership ended and MarkAir started operating the same routes in competition with Alaska Air. They found it tough going and ceased operations in 1996.

This aircraft was delivered to CP Air as C-FCPG in Mar-85. It was sold to The Chemical Bank Canada Leasing in Sep-85 and leased back to CP-Air. CP Air was renamed Canadian Pacific Airlines in Jan-86. In Apr-86 the aircraft was returned to the lessor, sold to the GPA Group (later to become GECAS) and leased to VASP Brasil as PP-SNQ. It was repossessed by the lessor in Dec-92, re-registered PT-WBD and stored. The aircraft was leased to MarkAir as EI-CHQ in May-93 and returned to the lessor in Apr-95. It was re-registered N946WP the following month and leased to Western Pacific Airlines in Jun-95. Western Pacific ceased operations in Feb-98 and the aircraft was repossessed by the lessor and stored. It was leased to Southwest Airlines in Jun-98 and re-registered N661SW in Oct-98. The aircraft was returned to the lessor in Jul-12, sold to Contrails Capital Inc and permanently retired at Stuttgart, AZ.USA. The registration was cancelled a week later.
