First flown in Mar-81 with the British temporary registration G-14-3067, it was re-registered G-BIRN a week later and delivered to Loganair in Apr-81. The aircraft was sold back to Short Brothers in Mar-84 and stored until it was leased to AirUK in Aug-84. It returned to Short Brothers in Feb-86 and was leased to Tal-Air in May-86 and returned to Short's in Dec-88. Immediately leased to Gill Air and re-registered G-BPMA in Jan-89, it was damaged beyond repair by gale force winds during a storm at Glasgow, Scotland, UK on 23-Feb-89.
Note: During a storm at Glasgow, Scotland the aircraft was first blown into a pole by the gale force winds and then blown upside down. It was damaged beyond repair. There were no passengers or crew on board at the time.
