Replacing an earlier scanned slide with a better version 23-Mar-15, plus Topaz DeNoise AI 11-Dec-23.

Fleet No: '620'.

Delivered new to TCA Trans Canada Airlines in Jan-57, TCA was renamed Air Canada in Jun-64. The aircraft was retired in Mar-74, stored at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and sold to United Aircraft Services Ltd the following month.

Technically it became C-FTHB in May-74 when the Canadian Government introduced the C-Gxxx registration sequence. It was sold to Beaver Enterprises in Jun-75 as part of a 24 aircraft deal.

It was used for spares including all 4 props and two of the engines. The intact shell was sold to 'Ray Gilson' in late 1975 and moved by road to Teulon, Manitoba, where it was re-assembled and displayed, with a second Viscount (CF-THF) outside his restaurant.

In early 1982 it was sold to 'Don Fyk' and moved by road to his home in Garland, Manitoba, where he converted the cabin into a lounge and dining room. It was last noted still there in Jun-10.

Replacing an earlier scanned photo with a better version 05-Mar-21.

Fleet No: "625".

This Viscount, ex Air Canada sat in this position at Vancouver for many years before being floated across to Victoria, Vancouver Island on a barge for restoration. It's now complete and on display at the British Columbia Aviation Museum in the original Trans-Canada livery. The Museum is located at Sydney, BC, Canada (on the east side of Victoria International Airport).

The aircraft was delivered to Trans-Canada Air Lines as CF-THG in Mar-57. TCA was renamed Air Canada in Jun-64. It was withdrawn from service in Mar-74 and stored at Winnipeg, MB, Canada.

Along with another 23 Air Canada Viscounts, the aircraft was sold to Beaver Enterprises at the end of Apr-74 and remained stored. It was sold to Harrison Air in Jan-77 and stored at Vancouver, BC, Canada.

It never entered service and was sold to BCIT British Columbia Institute of Technology in Jun-80 for use as an instructional airframe. It was retired by BCIT in late 1995 and remained in open storage at Vancouver International.

The aircraft was sold to the British Columbia Aviation Museum in Apr-05, external restoration in the original Trans-Canada livery was completed by late 2008.

It suffered a landing accident at Kinshasa in Mar-92 when the starboard undercarriage leg was torn off. It was stored at Kinshasa until it was sold it to Bazair in 1996. It was repaired and operated for two years until it was retired at Boende, Dem Republic of Congo in 1998. It was noted still there, derelict, in Feb-13.

The aircraft was sold in Zaire again in Jan-86 when it became 9Q-CTS with Scibe Airlift. Scibe sold it to Air Charter Service, Zaire, in Jun-86, they used the operating name 'Filair'.

The aircraft was damaged beyond repair in a landing accident when the nosewheel 'became detached' at Tshikapa, Zaire, in 1988. It was last noted still stored at Tshikapa in 1992 in derelict condition.

This was just as Condor were introducing their now famous yellow tail livery and this one doesn't yet have their logo on it. The original livery can be seen on D-ANUR in the Viscount album.

This aircraft was delivered to Lufthansa as D-ANUN in Oct-58. It was leased to Condor Flugdienst (at that time a Lufthansa Subsidiary) in Feb-63 and returned to Lufthansa in Aug-69. It was sold to Nora Air Service in Jul-71.

The aircraft was sold to BMA British Midland Airways as G-BAPF in Feb-72. It was sold to Skyline Sweden as SE-FOY in Oct-75 and sold back to BMA as G-BAPF again in May-78. The aircraft was sold to British Aerospace in May-86 and leased back to BMA.

It was returned to British Aerospace in Aug-87 and stored at Coventry, UK. It was sold to Baltic Airlines in Mar-88 and wet-leased to Gambia Air Shuttle in Jul-88, returning to Baltic Airlines in Mar-89.

The aircraft was leased to Hot Air in Apr-89 and returned to Baltic Airlines in Apr-90. It was sold to Sean T Hully (Sales) Ltd (also the owner of Baltic) in May-91 and permanently retired at Southend, UK where it was disassembled and moved by road to RAF Moreton-in-the-Marsh, an RAF training airfield, where it was used for fire service training.
