The Northwest Airlines DC-10-30 needed it's paint touching up!

Built as 'Combi' with a side cargo door (SCD), this aircraft was able to operate as all passenger, all cargo, and as the name suggests, a combination of both on the main deck.

It was delivered to EVA Airways as N408EV in Apr-96. It was sold to a lessor on delivery and leased back to EVA Air. The aircraft was sold back to EVA Air in Oct-00 and re-registered B-16408.

It continued in service until it was permanently retired and stored at San Bernardino, CA, USA in Jan-15. It was broken up there in Jul-16.

Aer Lingus non-standard livery and 'dot com' titles (the big red 'dot' was part of an Aer Lingus marketing effort to get more passengers booking online). This aircraft was only on short-term lease for 10 months between Nov-03/Sep-04 and was never painted in the full Aer Lingus livery.

Named: "St. Fiachra / Fiachre"

First flown with the Airbus test registration F-WWIP, this aircraft was delivered to Swissair as HB-IJE in Nov-95. It was sold to a lessor in Dec-00 and leased back to Swissair. Swissair ceased operations at the end of Mar-02 in the aftermath of the '9/11' terrorist atrocity in the USA. The aircraft was stored at Zurich, Switzerland in Apr-02. It was returned to the lessor in Oct-02 and ferried to the Airbus airfield at Bremen - Lemwerder (now closed) for further storage. It was leased to Aer Lingus as EI-CZW in Nov-03 in a non-standard white livery with green titles and tail logo. The aircraft was returned to the lessor in Sep-04. It was leased to Turkish Airlines as TC-JLI in Nov-04 and returned to the lessor in Nov-07. It was leased to Swiss International Airlines as HB-IJE again, in Dec-04. The aircraft was withdrawn from service in Nov-20 due to the continued effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic and stored at Ljubljana, Slovenia. Now 26 years old it returned to Geneva, Switzerland at the beginning of Feb-21 and is parked. Whether it re-enters service or is retired is anyone's guess! Stored, updated 02-Apr-21.

This was Jet2's original livery when they started up in 2004.

Named: "Jet2 Prague", later "Jet2 Tunisia" (Mar-10).

This aircraft was delivered to AWAS Ansett Worldwide Aviation Services (via Nordstress Ltd) and leased to BMA British Midland Airways as G-OBMA in Nov-87. It was returned to Nordstress Ltd and stored at East Midlands Airport (UK) in Nov-92. It was leased to BMA again in Feb-93 for the summer season and returned to AWAS in Nov-93.

A few days later the aircraft was leased to Ansett Australia Airlines as VH-CZV. By 2001 Ansett Australia were in financial difficulties and this aircraft was sold to a James H Stewart & Peter D McClusky in Sep-01 and the aircraft was stored at Melbourne.

Ansett grounded all their Boeing 737's in Oct-01 and operated limited services using some of their Airbus A320's, they ceased operations completely in Mar-02.

In Mar-03 this aircraft was re-registered N190FH and ferried to the USA, it was stored at Mojave, CA. In Jun-03 it was transferred back to Ansett Australia and sold to The Dart Group PLC as G-CELC the same day.

It was ferried to the UK and stored at Bournemouth. The aircraft was leased to Channel Express Air Services (also owned by the Dart Group) in Oct-03.

Channel Express was mainly a Cargo/Freight company and The Dart Group founded Jet2 in early 2004. Channel Express sub-leased the aircraft to the new Jet2 in Mar-04.

After 27 years in service the aircraft was placed in 'back-up storage' at Kemble, UK in Dec-14. It was permanently retired at Kemble in Jan/Feb-15, the registration was cancelled in Feb-15.

Ahhh... DC-10!!!

Fleet No: "1235".

Delivered to Korean Air Lines (later Korean Air) in Apr-75 as HL7317, this aircraft served with them for over 20 years until it was traded in to Boeing in Dec-95 and stored. It was sold to Northwest Airlines in Aug-96 as N235NW. It went on to fly with Northwest for another 11 years until it was retired by them in Feb-07 and sold to Wells Fargo Bank Northwest. It was immediately leased to ATA Airlines and was repainted in a hybrid Northwest/ATA livery. It was re-registered as N705TZ in Sep-07. ATA Airlines ceased trading in Apr-08 and the aircraft was returned to Wells Fargo after 33 years in service!. It was stored at Marana, AZ, USA in Apr-08 and later sold to World Airways in Aug-08. However it never returned to service and was broken up at Marana in Mar/Apr-11.
