Interestingly, this tasting was not grouped by white and red (but rather dry to sweet), so I'm reordering them here.
Of the whites, I sampled the 2016 Chardonnay, the 2014 "Sweet Life," and the 2013 Vidal Blanc. The first thing I noticed is that compared to the other local wineries, the vintage years tended to be older here. The Sweet Life was a semi-sweet seyval blanc. The Vidal Blanc was also semi-sweet.
Of the reds, I sampled the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2014 Petit Verdot, and the "Don't Call Me a Cab," a sweet Chambourcin that was served chilled. The 2014 was quite fruity, and the Petit Verdot was on the earthy end of the spectrum (likely due to aging).
I would describe the atmosphere as rustic and friendly.
