Built by the Manchester Locomotive Works in 1908, this little engine is still earning its keep with the 8:30 train as bio-diesels have taken over most of the operations. Here it is at the top of the mountain on one of those days the weather was changing every minute. Jul 7, 2012

Green Mountain RS1 #405 is seen sitting outside the roundhouse at Walpole. The engine has often been used as the local switcher since the summer of 2021 so I decided to give it a shot, but no dice today. Nov 2, 2022
