As we were walking back to our hotel, we noticed that there were drums and brass instruments in front of the church. We stopped and watched. Soon a statue of the virgin was carried out, then women in beautiful traditional costumes began to gather. Before long, a band began to play, then the dancers started and a full and joyous festival exploded. We felt very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time.
