I don't usually take photographs of actors even though I like films but I was very excited to see Philip Seymour Hoffman at The Music Box talking about his new film, which he both stars in and directs. The film is called Jack Goes Boating and, while it's not my favorite film that he stars in, it's a good film that is worth seeing and interesting to see his directorial debut.
The most talented actor alive is imo Daniel Day Lewis but Philip Seymour Hoffman is a close second. He has starred in many films. He might be most known for Capote but his minor part as the Mattress Man in Punch Drunk Love is unforgettable. He's done many films I've enjoyed but my favorite of all of them (and my favorite film of all time) is Charlie Kaufman directed Synecdoche. Philip Seymour Hoffman could do nothing else from this day forward and I'd still hold him dear for what he brought to that film.
In real life Philip Seymour Hoffman is just like what you would expect...unassuming, modest, seems like a regular guy. He's from my hometown (Rochester, NY) so finally seeing him in real life was so touching for me.
