Mojave Air & Space port has been on my bucket list for many years. Having failed to reach it in 2013 as I ran out of time and light, I was determined to include it on our 2023 road trip through California, It did not disappoint. From the super little café situated beneath the control tower, you get great views of the apron and the storage/scrapping areas. Plenty of very interesting and rare planes in there, including Convair 88, 990 and Lockheed c133 Cargomasters. The café closes at 1pm, so be sure to arrive in time for an early lunch!
