User / kitmasterbloke / Medieval glass in St Mary the Virgin, Saffron Walden, believed to be Queen Isabella of Anjou

The biggest church in Essex - St.Mary The Virgin in Saffron Walden. At over 180 feet long and with a 50 foot high nave, it is larger than both Leicester and Chelmsford cathedrals! It also houses the tombs of two Garter Knights - Lord Thomas Audley, Chancellor to Henry VIII and RA Butler, Tory politician of the 20th Century. Hanging in the lady chapel is an excellent copy of Correggio's Madonna & Child with St Jerome.
