These waterfalls at the park can only be photographed from the bridge, as access down into the stream level is not recommended and would take some climbing gear which I think they would frown upon. Its a shame, as I think the photos from stream level would be spectacular. Overall like this composition and the lodged tree over the foreground waterfall.

This section of Buttermilk Falls State Park is far along the trail into the glen. Access to the water level is fairly good here, and the rocks shaped by the flow is wonderful. I really likes this section of the park, and the lighting was real nice for this time of day.

Watkins Glen State Park is a nice park and quite fantastic how they cut the path into the rocks along the glen. That being said, it is hard to take photos here with the vantage points available and then contending with numerous visitors (even on a Tuesday at the end of September). I much prefer being down at water level, but that is not really possible in this glen. This photo I liked with the bit of sunlight that warmed the tones. Zooming in here was helpful in order to "reach" the falls.

From this vantage point along the bank of the Niagara River that sticks out a little into the flow, you get the "last view" you would see as you prepared to go over the falls ... assuming in the water or in a barrel :)

They have lights that project out into the fast moving current of the Niagara River that helps light up the white-caps there of the rapid like flow. The yellow light makes this appear that you would be falling into "Hell", and I think that it would really suck knowing that you last sights would be "Marriott" and "Embassy Suites" as you plumnged into the cold dpeths below :D
