Yesterday evening I got to photograph my second wedding ... this one again for family. My sister-in-law was getting married and asked if I could take the photos. A challenge worth taking on, and I was prepared to see how the Canon 5DM3 would really perform in the low light, etc. Always fun to do high ISO bounce flash as well, and had plenty of opportunity for that as well.
This was shot about an hour before the wedding while the sun was setting. Caught some of the last light coming in through the windows and the interaction with the table settings was pretty cool.

Capture taken from the wedding that I photographed the other evening. Here I was shooting indoors at ISO 1600 and using the Canon top mounted flash and bouncing with CTO Gel of the wall and ceiling to the left to give overall white balance "balance to the scene, supplementing the interior lighting.
Was taking a shot of my daughter and her boyfriend when the Groom stepped into the shot ;)
It was a fun time shooting this event.
I liked to bounce the flash so it is not directed right at the subjects ... and thus making this look like it was taken with lighting that already was there at the venue. I also reduced the blue color channel to remove any blue cast from the last evening lighting coming in through the windows.

Late day lighting with rain about to fall ... luckily the venue was indoors. Capture taken from a recent wedding that I was asked to photograph.

Used the Canon 580EXII for bouncing the gelled flash off the ceiling to the left to balance and add light to the dark wedding venue ... then focused on the camera phone action at the shallow DOF. Liked the way this turned out.
Shows how we all like to capture those special times. Camera phones have made that very easy now.

From the wedding I was able to shoot last week, here is my eldest daughter that was sitting at our table ... I was able to catch a bite to eat, and when done, shot the flash off the wall to the right to add in some cross lighting in the dark venue and to catch a little light in her eyes ... as if it were coming from the candle light there.
